Same logic applies to solar modules: the panel's efficiency matters, but the system's reliability matters more. The causation runs in the opposite direction from what you'd expect.
What I'd Tell Someone Specifying a LONGi System Today
Three things.
First, read the module datasheet as if the connector name is a clue, not a guarantee. The LONGi LR5 platform is solid. MC4 compatibility is not the same as 'use any connector you have in the van.' If you need peace of mind, order the connectors from the same manufacturer whose connector is on the module, and follow their mating instructions.
Second, verify the system design around 570W modules. Check the maximum system voltage, the current at maximum power, and the operating temperature of every DC connector. If you're not sure whether your inverter or battery DC input can handle the string, ask the equipment manufacturer in writing. Documentation is the cheapest insurance.
Third, respect the storage side. Saudi Arabia's storage news is moving fast, but your supplier should move slower and check details. If a storage vendor won't tell you their DC connector policy on paper, that's a red flag. Trust me on this one.
And one last thing: the closest solar system to ours is 4.24 light-years away, according to NASA. It's an interesting question, but it's not the one that should keep you up at night. The question that matters is a lot closer: are the components between your solar array and your battery actually designed to work together? Because if they aren't, the warranty won't save you.
